Camphill communities across the UK and Ireland, have been creating places of dignity, purpose and belonging for over 85 years. They support people with learning disabilities and support needs to live meaningful lives, rooted in community, creativity and care. Like much of the social care sector, Camphill is facing increasing financial pressure, and this is where your support makes a real difference.
Donations to the Camphill Foundation UK & Ireland are carefully directed to where they will have the greatest impact. Funds are provided via grants and low-interest loans and used to support Camphill communities with capital projects, improvements to living and working spaces, sustainability initiatives, and innovative workshops that enhance quality of life. Donations help communities respond to changing needs, maintain safe and welcoming environments, and invest in long-term resilience rather than short-term fixes.
Social care is chronically underfunded, and Camphill communities are not immune to these challenges. Rising costs, limited statutory funding, and increasing demand for care mean communities must look beyond traditional funding streams to continue their work. Charitable donations provide vital flexibility allowing communities to plan ahead, respond quickly to urgent needs, and protect the values that make Camphill unique. Without additional fundraising, many important projects simply wouldn’t be possible.
Thanks to donations, the Camphill Foundation UK & Ireland has supported a wide range of projects across the UK, Ireland and beyond. These projects include building shared living spaces, improving accessibility, upgrading workshops and day-activity spaces, creating classrooms and safe environments for children to learn and play, investing in renewable energy solutions, and supporting community facilities that bring people together. Each project, big or small, contributes to creating environments where individuals can thrive, feel safe, and belong.
Every contribution counts. Even modest donations can have a meaningful impact and when combined with others, small donations quickly add up to lasting change.
