Spades in the ground! | Corbenic Camphill Community’s barn project update

Corbenic Camphill Community, near Dunkeld in Scotland, is pleased to share the progress on their Community Barn project – a new single-floor, multi-use space, that will serve many different functions within the community. It is a much-needed space that will enhance the lives of Corbenic residents and day participants, providing further opportunities for meaningful activity, social inclusion, and community celebration.

The old, existing barn on the site was carefully taken down and will be reused in construction projects elsewhere in the Community. The site has been cleared and levelled and wet foundations poured to stabilise the ground, on to which the building foundations were constructed. Blockwork has been added in preparation for pouring the concrete slab base. Next the steel skeleton of the building will be added, and things will really begin to take shape!

The Camphill Foundation UK & Ireland is delighted to support this meaningful initiative with a grant of £10,000 and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on individuals and the wider community in the months and years to come.
